Job Summary
The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations during assigned shifts as a Pantos employee within the NextStar Energy EV battery manufacturing plant. This includes managing receiving, inventory control, material handling, and inbound/outbound logistics to ensure uninterrupted production support.The Floor Supervisor works closely with the Shift Leader to ensure the Pantos warehouse logistics team operates safely and efficiently. They communicate daily procedures and updates, plan and adjust schedules as needed, and engage directly with team members to ensure everyone understands shift expectations, priorities, and any operational changes.The Floor Supervisor leads a team of forklift drivers, enforces safety and quality standards, and promotes efficiency, accuracy, and accountability across all warehouse activities. In addition to operational leadership, this role serves as a key liaison between Pantos employees, upper management, and the client (NextStar Energy). The Floor Supervisor is responsible for communicating shift updates, production requirements, process changes, and any issues in a clear and timely manner to maintain alignment and ensure swift resolution of concerns.
Job Duties
Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities during assigned shift, including shipping, receiving, put-away, and replenishment.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of warehouse personnel, providing direction, performance feedback, and ongoing support.
Conduct shift briefings and assign tasks based on daily logistics plans.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics in real time to support production flow.
Ensure timely and accurate movement of materials to and from production lines in alignment with daily production schedules.
Monitor shift performance metrics (KPIs), identify operational issues, and implement solutions to improve productivity and workflow.
Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials where applicable.
Conduct shift handovers/reports and ensure effective communication between shifts and with other departments (e.g., production, quality, utility team).
Assist in training new employees and cross-training team members for increased flexibility.
Oversee inventory control measures, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and reporting discrepancies.
Operate and ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and warehouse layout optimization projects.
Monitor and ensure adherence to customer system procedures without any discrepancies.
Report any operational issues to the shift assistant manager or logistics manager in a timely manner.
Conduct on-site forklift driving tests for new hires.
Complete on the floor training for new hires.
Coordinate with Safety Supervisor/Coordinators to complete Forklift in-house training and certification.
Perform weekly performance evaluations of forklift drivers (for their team.)
Recommend additional training or corrective actions for drivers who are below expectations.
Monitor and ensure that team key performance indicators (KPIs) consistently meet company standards, with a focus on safety and compliance with operational procedures.

Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an asset.
Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment, ideally within the automotive or EV sector.
Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office applications.
Valid forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial equipment.
Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: CA$48,000.00 - CA$55,000.00 per year
